Backlog: Janice’s 21st

I like the gift shop at Jalan Song named Souvenir Pool. Back in Form Six, we celebrated birthdays at Jalan Song’s kopitiam/Pizza Hut or at Dominic’s house… and sometimes at Friendship Park. That’s why we always got our gifts at Souvenir Pool due to the close proximity and convenience. Ahhh those were the days.

Anyways, we celebrated Janice’s birthday in advance last Saturday. Again, at Jalan Song’s Pizza Hut =D

And this time, we went there again to get Janice’s gift. (I hope Janice doesn’t read my blog)

The birthday girl.

Janice likes the condom silicone case of my phone.

Fui Tze, one fourth of my family in class, the other two were Dominic and Canisius. She was my other partner-in-crime. Our family got so close-knitted that we did everything together, from Chemistry reports, to birthdays and of course, committing crimes (yes we were always up to no good and extremely naughty).

Rachel, yours truly and Cherry.

Staff at Pizza Hut don’t know how to take photo asdfjkl;

July 26th draws near.

You’re So Blinded By Inconsumable Rage That You Don’t Care Who You Hurt

Today is July the 4th. America’s Independence Day.

Sudah lama lao niang no talk about Law. English Law.

Question: Should judicial review be excluded if the Attorney-General stops an investigation on national security grounds?

Read here.

In short,

Judges and constitutional lawyers have suggested that judicial review is now so fundamental a part of our unwritten constitution that there is an implied limitation on the sovereignty of Parliament. A statutory provision purporting to exclude judicial control would therefore be held to be unlawful. ~ Times Online.

Cowabunga! Limitation on the almighty supreme Parliament! Holy smoke!

Huh. That said, it makes the judicial crisis in back 1988 orchestrated by then PM Dr. M feel like perdition.

****

Oh oh! James Bond - Quantum of Solace is out soon in November!

Oh yes, the post title above was said by M in the trailer. The trailer is making me excited like a burung kakak tua on crystal meth.

The line is spot on.

Because people can get so consumed by their own feelings that they fail to notice what is going on around them.

Suspended

I was rudely awaken by Muse’s Starlight ringtone on my phone. It was Dad.

He called to tell me that KLSE got suspended (I still call it KLSE because if I use the word MYX instead, nobody will know what I’m talking about). He tried to call KL and nobody answered the phone.

Sounds very serious right?

And then I read The Star Online, which said:

Bursa Malaysia Securities said trading would be suspended for at least the morning trading session from 9am to 12.30pm following a multi hardware failure in its core trading system.

Can we LOL?

Anyways, it was Olivia’s 1st berday yesterday. Olivia is my niece, not daughter, OK?

Gila babi cute. Wanna bite the cheeks.

Cake also cute. Everything cute.

Wazisname? Bear-bear. It’s weird that we name our dogs after animals. I used to have a dog named Tiger (only because its fur resembled a tiger’s), but Rachel got confused and thought I had a tiger named Dog. Utter confusion -_- This dog has nothing to do with Olivia’s berday but it effectively belongs to her.

Wei, that’s my ball! <–Phua Chu Beng.

She doesn’t cry at all man. She just makes baby noise, enough to arrest the attention of her parents to tend to her needs. So considerate. See, baby can be considerate also, why can’t you?

I don’t normally pose with babies/toddlers, but well, I can make an exception =D

Matang Family Park

After browsing through the photos, lao niang realised she has a long way to go before she can achieve Papa’s standard of photography. Also, she feels like a supporting actress/paparazzi because the people around her are couples. Sigh. Anyways, here it is. Taken with Canon EOS 400D with the kanasai kit lens.

Angela: *points at Stephen* Eee got something there!
Stephen: Lu kua hamik kua?!
Ivor: *OMG*
Min Yen: Where?!

This picture is a good image for Robert Frost’s The Road Not Taken.

Dedicated to Tzy Shih. Sorry, mountain cat not very cute. This cat was very hiao towards Angela despite being a female cat. Ivor almost murdered it out of jealousy.

Friggin huge ant. At least one inch in size.

First time lao niang see cempedak still attached to the mother tree. Sakai betui.

Yet another sakai.

OK la, that is all before I bore you guys to profanity.

Dinner time!

Backlog: Khia’s 21st

We celebrated iKhia’s berday in advance. Months in advance, mind you =D

Mango Delight from Secret Recipe. Good stuff. Kek ini tiada kaitan langsung dengan berdaynya. Kek ini adalah untuk tahan lapar sebab saya tidak makan sepanjang hari. Tetapi pada malam itu…*yer malam itu*

Kami se-gang ate at a place called Ming’s Corner just outside Kuching High.

Cheers!

Tan’s dinner.

My dinner. While I was taking this, an elderly man came over and said…

Old Man: 你要我帮你拍吗? (Would you like me to help you take the picture?)
Us: *sweat*
Me: *WTF* 不用, 谢谢. *hopes he goes away*
OM: 做纪念 ha? (For the memories?)
Me: *mentally* F**k you

That episode left us all in a daze because that was totally random. He wasn’t dressed shabbily. He looked rather smart and dressed for the occasion. God only knows why he approached our table.

At Tao’s.

OK that’s all for this post. I will post pictures on our trip to Matang Family Park later.
